So, about a week ago, I decided last minute to join the Padma retreat. Honestly, I was just looking for serenity, rest, and to stop the loop of life.I arrived in the evening, it was a long drive, and I assumed there’ll be some time before we dine so I mentally prepared myself to deal with severe hunger and cold.I arrived at a magical place, with a table set with a huge variety of foods, hot drinks, an infinite amount of the greatest tea there is (and I’m crazy about tea), dates, fruits and nuts of every kind, a bag full of surprises was waiting for me and there was just this sense of abundance, warmth and acceptance that kicked off the weekend so much better than I expected.People from all over the country came, they were all unique, diverse and mostly very pleasant. We started in a circle, 25 strangers, Or was talking and put us all in a serene state of mind. Through the power of words alone, he made us put all our worries aside, surrender to the present moment, to the people that surround us, to the amazing location and the open space, and that’s what it was. We woke up and had a dream of a breakfast, this very indulging breakfast that you just have to document, every day we practiced yoga with Alex, and amazing teacher who is very attentive to all of her student’s needs, with a touch of mother earth and a voice of an angel. We had workshops to connect to our inner self, we floated up our past and reminded ourselves why we’re here, while emphasizing the here and now, and mostly we experienced an intense experience together, secluded, with the right people. It’s so great to have Or. And it’s so fun to have fun. I wish for myself to have this kind of retreat at least 3 times a year, it was a true pleasure.
